The date is approaching fast and we’re making preparations. Don’t miss out!
H.E.R. (Helping Empower Resilience) is a 6 week non-therapeutic group. The purpose of this group is to provide a safe space for women of color to vent, heal and build resilience through the experience of connection.
W.F.I.O (We're Figuring it Out) is a therapeutic group designed to teach, and educate women of color that are struggling with managing day to day stressors of motherhood, unhealthy/toxic relationships, gender roles, and a variety of other topics important to women's mental health.
Why should I attend this group?
Because women shouldn’t have to sit in the car and cry before going inside the house because they feel overwhelmed. Because you shouldn’t have to cry in the shower every night because you feel so full. This group will provide you with the support you need to and a safe space to let it out, WITHOUT JUDGEMENT
What's the difference between H.E.R and We're figuring it out?
H.E.R is considered a support/self help group. While group members are a valuable source of support, formal group therapy sessions offer benefits beyond informal self-help and support groups.
Group therapy with WFIO sessions are led by a Licensed Counselor holding specialized training, who teach group members proven strategies for managing specific problems. That expert guidance can help you make the most of your group therapy experience.
Will I be forced to share private information that I'm not comfortable sharing?
NO! Participation is required, as it contributes to the group experience. However, you will never be forced to talk about anything in group. The facilitator will encourage you to share at your level of comfort.
How do I get started?

What is a closed group?
Closed groups are those in which all members begin the group at the same time. Participants will not be allowed
to begin after the start date until the new round begins and the group opens for members to join or transition into WFIO.
How many people are in the group?
H.E.R support groups will be limited to up to 15 participants while WFIO will be limited to 10.
What will be talk about?
WFIO will have a more specific curriculum. Various topics will be covered each week with corresponding required homework assignments. In addition to support, WFIO provides more therapeutic experiences by learning coping skills, and strategies for managing common issues affecting women of color.
H.E.R will cover a wide range of topics that most commonly affect women of color. Participants will have the opportunity to bring topics to the table for discussion such as anger management, shyness, loneliness, and low self esteem. Helping women of color could consist of a wide range of discussion topics so group participation may help guide the discussion.
I changed my mind, can I get a refund?
All groups are non-refundable, but don't worry, you're going to love it!
